Bio:

  • Andrew Vincent is a Fine Arts degree candidate in Drawing and Painting, currently living and studying at the University of Missouri, until he graduates in May 2014.

 

  • In the near future, Andrew is exploring becoming an Industrial Designer via graduate studies.

    • In an attempt facilitate becoming an Industrial Designer, Andrew attempted to build his curriculum so as to develop skills that would hopefully be useable in the ID area.

Recognitions:

  • Twice he was awarded a temporary shared Graduate Artist workspace in the Bingham Hall Graduate Work Area, via a competition juried by professors of the Fine Arts College. In February of 2012, and again in 2014.

 

  • In June of 2012, Andrew spent a month studying northern renaissance as well as modern and contemporary art abroad in the Netherlands and Belgium.

 

  • In July of 2012, Andrew was chosen as a Hallmark-Mizzou Creative Fellow, along with a group of six other students, to take part in the Hallmark-Mizzou Creative Fellow Innovation Project, sponsored by the Creative Convergence Network, and headed by Professor Newton D'souza of the Architectural Studies Dept. 

    • They were charged to source 2‐D visual assets from the Hallmark Archive collection and to transform them into unique, new digital or 3‐D product solutions. They worked together to create new and innovative digital and 3D product solutions to integrate social media and new visual communication technologies with Hallmark values. 

    • Hallmark awarded the students’ work by giving each a third generation iPad.

  • ​In October of 2013, Andrew was selected as a finalist in the MU Collaborative Arts Initiative, a program sponsored by Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, Sigma Alpha Iota, and Society of Composers, Inc. designed to bring together artists from different disciplines in order to create new works.
